Daisy’s work explores the world of internet born selfies and augmented identities. Through her ongoing series of self-portraits for Instagram she utilises handmade snapchat filters, imitations of high fashion tropes and guises and plays with hashtags. Through playfully abstracting her own current online identity Daisy raises questions on post internet sexism and feminine ideals: is society steering towards a new equality of individual gender expression or are we seeing an evolved form of everything that came before…
